The Purpose of the Project
The project aims to contribute to efforts to mitigate the impact of climate change at the local level by supporting innovation and green adaptation of the textile ecosystem in Uşak.
Main Activities
- Comparative supply chain analysis between Uşak and Paimio
- Organising site visits to production and recycling facilities in Izmir and Uşak
- Providing trainings to primary school students in Uşak
- A field visit to the textile production and recycling facilities in Paimio Finland
- Organizing a Conference on Sustainable Textiles, Fashion and Recycling in Paimio
- Establishment of Local Green Action Plan for Uşak Municipality
- Organising the Project Closing and Evaluation Meeting
Expected Outputs
– As a result of the exchange of experiences between the two countries, the capacity of Uşak Municipality on green transformation increased.
– Economic co-operation between Uşak and Paimio (Uşak textile cluster, Izmir textile manufacturers and recyclers and Telekatju network) was strengthened.
– Public awareness was raised on sustainable development and sustainable green future.
